Refined copper output is expected to increase by 4.3% year on year to 24.7 million tonnes in 2021 after decreasing by 2.1% to 23.6 million tonnes in 2020, primarily as a result of disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. However, despite the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, copper quotes, according to the forecasts of Goldman Sachs’ analysts, will rise up to 33%, reaching $12,250, during the 1-year period (2021 vs. 2022)
